Feature Grade contains larger amounts of natural features such as bark pockets, knots, natural stains and pinholes. Feature grade may have surface voids that will need filling to achieve a perfectly smooth surface.

Available in both 84mm *19 and 130mm *19.

We also offer this feature grade in an ‘All Heartwood’ option. This still retains all of the feature characteristics, but has none of the paler sapwood, so is a more uniform colour. Same price.

NZ Blackwood Colour Clears 130(cover)*19

Colour Clears grade has mostly uniform grain clearwood with no defects but features the dynamic contrasts of lighter sap-wood and darker heart wood colours. There may be some boards with very small features such as irregular grain, tiny knot or bark fleck, or minimal pinhole. This is available in both 130mm cover and 84mm cover *19mm thick.

This is our premium grade in NZ Blackwood flooring. It is the most uniform in appearance and has a rich dark color as it is all heart wood and mostly clear-wood free of defects. There may be some boards with minimal features such as irregular grain, knot or tiny bark flecks, minimal pinhole.

Available in both 84mm and 130mm cover.
